What does it cost? $120 per person. Scholarships are available.

When does it begin and end? Plan to arrive at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 17. Dinner will not be served Friday, so please eat before you come. JHJ will conclude at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 20. We are called to be free! Galatians 5:13 — “You my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge in the sinful nature, rather, serve one another in love.”

We have chartered a bus from First Student for Surfside. The cost per student is $15 (includes travel to and from camp, and financial assistance is available as needed). The Surfside bus will load at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, and leave from NFC as soon as it’s loaded.
The bus will stop at the Tillamook Cheese Factory after camp on Saturday, returning to NFC by 1:40 p.m. Students from other churches would like to travel with us, so I’ll need you to contact me directly if you plan for your child(ren) to be on the bus. Summit 2010
Kingdom.
Mission.
Passion.
Conversations that could change your life!
Dec. 28 – Jan. 1
Cheyenne Mountain Resort, Colorado Springs, CO
SUMMIT is a national conference for young adults (16-25) to experience how the reality of God’s kingdom is calling the Friends Church in mission and engaging us with passion. For the first time, Evangelical Friends churches in North America (AYM, EFC-ER, EFC-MAYM, NWYM, RMYM, EFC-SW) will gather in worship as we discern how each of us is invited to engage in proclaiming God’s greatness around the world through authentic lives of service.
Summit will draw together speakers, leaders and resources that will stir all young adults to be the Church that God will use to shape His kingdom purpose and reality.
There will be a bus from Oregon, and there are scholarship opportunities. Please contact Eric Muhr — (503) 538-8381, ext 106 — or Rachelle Staley — (503) 538-9418, ext 113 — for more information.
Twin Rocks Surfside

If you haven’t already registered for Surfside (and are planning to do so), I highly recommend that you act quickly. Even though registration details advertised a cut-off date of August 2, Josh Reid (the camp director) sent out an announcement today that indicates registrations could be cut off sooner as there’s only space for up to 280 campers.
Here’s the announcement from Josh:
Because of the humongous number of campers last year (and because we have more campers registered now than this time last year), we’re having to institute a registration CUT-OFF so that we have enough beds for everyone. So, I’ll be seeing the first 280 campers who register at Surfside 2010. Register online.
Peace. It’s going to be another unforgettable week at Twin Rocks. I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of you there.
